First-Generation First-Year Seminars at UC Davis

Are you a student that comes from a home where neither parent or guardian earned a four-year college degree? If so, then you are a first-generation student!  The great news is that you are not alone.  Many of your peers, and a growing number of faculty and staff that you will interact with on campus share this same trait.  In support of this growing trend, we have developed First-Year, First-Gen Seminars.

First-Gen Seminars pairs first-generation faculty and students in a small, for-credit class environment where they share a common experience, foster a sense of belonging, and engage intellectual curiosity. Therefore, we invite you to enroll in one of these exciting seminars today!
